I have been honored to have mentored over 300 plus clients since joining SCORE in 2007, including 70 as an SBA counselor to disadvantaged businesses. An extensive background in high-tech product development and implementation, marketing in both the commercial and governmental sectors, and successful hands-on management of a wide variety of high-profile projects has allowed me to build a significant knowledge base. I can provide specific guidance to small business owners with operational, management or financial issues.
Having successfully started my own company to the eventual bid submission and winning of large government contracts enables me to help entrepreneurs plan, research, implement and manage new start up businesses. Helping them understand the process ensures they properly determine, prioritize and complete the startup activities in an efficient and effective manner.
Specifically experienced in understanding the complexity of government contracting and navigating the large number of government programs, certifications and related activities. i.e., HubZone, Small Disadvantaged Businesses, Disabled Veterans, etc. I have developed, organized and chaired a “Business Roundtable” for over three years that still meets monthly. It is designed to enable business owners to meet to discuss common issues, exchange information and seek feedback on resolving specific business issues.
